Tunnels of the Suez Canal Corridor Development Project
TYLin was involved in the study and design of the Port Said Tunnel and supported the contractors for the Southern Ismailia Tunnel as part of the Suez Canal Corridor Development Project in Egypt.
The Suez Canal Corridor is an Egyptian development project aimed at expanding the role of the region east of the Suez Canal as an economic, urban, and environmentally balanced global hub for logistics, industrial services, commerce, and tourism. The corridor includes seven tunnels under the Suez Canal in Port Said and Ismailia. The corridor connects the Sinai Peninsula to western Egyptian governorates to facilitate the creation of new urban communities in the region.
TYLin participated in the Port Said feasibility studies and tender design and actively supported the contractors for the Southern Ismailia Tunnel. Both are roadway tunnels.
